The first idea we had was to have a hand appear on screen as if it was going to give you a high-five. We were also thinking of having the actual clapping sound during the institution. We though a black background would be very subtle and would make the hand stand out. We decided on the red colour because it stands out the most against the black background and also stands out against the hand.

Our second idea was to have a bird. We first thought of a crow but then we realised that a crow would make our institution fit in the horror genre and we wanted something that could be used for more than one genre. So we went with a fenix. I specifically liked the fenix as it's a very big and beautiful bird. We decided to keep it simple with black colours instead of making it bright and colourful.

We decided to go with the hand idea. As our movie is horror we thought that making a horror version of our institution would be very suitable. We did this by making the hand look dirty and old. We also would make the hand look like it had been harmed and make it look like it's bleeding. We also made the tittle a little less bright.

If we were to make the institution animated we we would make the hand squeeze shut and have some blood drip from it down the arm. Then for effect we would have the screen shutter. We also thought that adding a noise would make it sound really cool. E.g. a sound similar to a window or mirror smashing.
